Williams fourth daughter, Daisy Erica Watson was born in 1895 in York.  On the 21st March 1922 Daisy married Robert Smith, and we are indebted to their son, Peter Smith for these and a great many of the other photographs on our pages.

Our first picture of Daisy is unfortunately undated. We also have a picture of Robert in is First World war Uniform.

The following picture was thought to be the Watsons, but on removing it (carefully) from the album, on the reverse was written “Darlington 1 Temporary Staff. Taken Sept.”   Front row, extreme right, Peter Smith identifies his mother, Daisy Erica.

Here we have a photograph of a very dapper Robert Smith, undated. He is the one on the right of the photograph. On the right an undated picture of Daisy .

Below left we have a wedding picture of Robert and Daisy taken in Darlington in 1922. the couple are in the centre. The two witnesses for the wedding were Roberts' sister Annie on the left and Arthur Scott (of kilt and bagpipes fame!!). William was believed to not have been present as he disapproved of Robert Smith. On the right we have Robert and Daisy pictured outside Melbourne House, Kirby Cross, Roberts Mothers house, where they lived for a while after they were married.

Next we have a beautiful photograph of Daisy and Robert Smith, son Peter staying as an evacuee with William and second wife Olive in the Woodville garden, Northallerton. Date estimated as June 1944.

Finally on the right, we have a picture of Robert Smith with Granddaughter Ruth Anne, dated 1966
